Tarpon fishing has been extremely good this year. Many of the canals around Sykes Creek, the Banana and Indian River have been filled with Tarpon ranging from 2 to 40 pounds. My charters and I have been having good luck throwing live pogies, shrimp and mullet at them. On some days they readily eat artificials presented about a foot ahead of a rolling fish. The Indian River had some very large fish roaming the deeper channels. As the temperatures drop fishing will continue to improve.
